Fleetwood Festive Lights Lantern Parade and Switch On is THE BIG Christmas event in Fleetwood! It’s BACK for 2025!

Fleetwood Festive Lights Lantern Parade and Switch On 2025
- Saturday 29 November, 4.30pm for 5pm start
- Assemble at Fisherman’s Walk/Ash Street for the Fleetwood Festive Lights Lantern Parade
Follow HMS Blackpool Frigate Illuminated Tram, Old Boys Band and Fleetwood Rotary Santa Sleigh! - Parade along Lord Street, North Albert Street, The Esplanade to Marine Hall.
The Parade will make its way to the Marine Gardens passing illuminated trees, clock towers and lamp posts. There will be a brief pause at the Euston Gardens tram stop where the tram passengers will disembark and join the Parade to walk along the Esplanade passing the illuminated Christmas projections at The Mount.
The big Christmas Switch On and Christmas Concert – at Marine Hall Gardens, featuring performances from:
- Your compere and DJ, Dave Scrivener.
Plus live music from St Mary’s Catholic School Choir,
Aston Sahadeo as Michael Jackson,
Starmaker Fleetwood Dance Troup
and Louie Hetherington (from Flakefest).
Wrap up warm and bring your lanterns (no naked flames please). Christmas fancy dress optional!
The event is free – sponsored by Fleetwood Town Council and Wyre Council with additional support from local businesses and the general public.

Fortunately Storm Arwen and the winds dropped enough for it to go ahead, and despite the biting cold, lots of you enjoyed the return of this favourite Fleetwood event.
Fundraising for Fleetwood Festive Lights
Thank you to the Festive Lights Committee who work tirelessly throughout the year to put together this event to bring some early Christmas cheer to the town. If you would like to become a member of the Festive Lights Committee please come along to meetings. The date and time of the next meeting will be announced on their Facebook page
A small group of people who love their town work hard to raise funds, plan and organise for a sparkling festive season where Fleetwood shines with Christmas lights.
But they need YOUR help. Please support their fundraising events. If you’re a business please make a donation, it doesn’t matter how much you give, it all adds up.

Committee meetings are held regularly. You will be very welcome to go along, find out more and to offer your help – the more people who are involved, the better the results.
