The addition of these new stores shows we are growing and providing more great brands for our customers. We can’t wait for all the stores to open offering our shoppers even more great value for Christmas”.

The store openings will create up to 30 new jobs at the shopping centre and along with recently opened café, @Katie’s and the upsized Beauty Outlet, Affinity Lancashire will have had 7 new store openings in 2018. This influx of new retailers comes after a major rebrand earlier this year. The scheme previously known as ‘Freeport Fleetwood’, was renamed after being purchased by Global Mutual. Affinity Lancashire places emphasis on the essential elements to achieve excellence in outlet retail: a strong line up of brands, extraordinary savings, a welcoming environment and high standards of service.

@Katie’s uses local suppliers and artisan techniques to deliver delicious desserts and wholesome meals at great prices. Dan said “We’re so excited to open our very own business at Affinity Lancashire.  We’re regular shoppers at the Outlet Centre and after their rebrand we just felt this was the perfect time to make our family dream a reality.  We’ve done a lot of research and really do feel @Katie’s offers something different in the area.”

What’s Happening with the Shops at Affinity Lancashire?

Regular visitors to Affinity Lancashire shopping outlet will know that over the summer of 2018 a few shops have closed all at once.

Behind the scenes there are lots of conversations going on with potential new tenants and as soon as agreements are signed you’ll be the first to know which names will be moving in to the vacant units. We’d also like to reassure you that these store closing at once was nothing more than a coincidence –

  • Bags etc and Bench have both gone into liquidation
  • Ben Sherman only had a 12 month lease
  • M&S and Thornton’s are closing shops nationally

Hat Trick of Awards for Affinity Lancashire

2018’s been a year to celebrate so far for Affinity Lancashire. A successful rebrand in May was followed by winning Radio Wave’s 2018 Retailer of the Year award for the third time since 2015, making it a hat-trick of awards for the north-west outlet shopping centre!

The Radio Wave Culture and Lifestyle Awards takes place annually to celebrate the public’s choice of favourite Fylde Coast businesses. Hosted at the Empress Ballroom at the Winter Gardens last month, Affinity Lancashire beat tough competition including Jasmine’s Boutique, The Lingerie Lounge, Feblands, Toyland and Footasylum to complete their hat-trick of wins. They’ve previously won in 2015 and 2017. Companies from across the Fylde Coast competed for titles in a range of categories, shortlisted and voted for by the public.

Amanda Daniels, Centre Manager at Affinity Lancashire, said “We’re so proud to have won the award for the third time. It’s particularly rewarding for us as the public have the final say and we’re delighted that our customers have recognised the work we do and love what we provide. The award comes straight after a name change at the shopping centre and tells us that we’re moving in the right direction. We’re working with the local community and providing our customers across Lancashire with what they want, all in one place”.

Affinity Lancashire offers a wide range of fashion, homeware and accessories from a broad selection of over 45 high street stores with up to 60% off RRP.

Affinity Lancashire – the new name for Freeport Fleetwood

The renowned north-west England outlet shopping destination, Affinity Lancashire, saw a fun-filled and successful relaunch event over the 2018 spring bank holiday weekend.

The centre announced its new name, Affinity Lancashire, (formerly ‘Freeport Fleetwood’) and its eye-catching logo with a party atmosphere. Visitors enjoyed all sorts of fun, family-focused activities and shoppers bagged their bargains through exclusive discounts as part of the re-launch extravaganza.

The weekend event featured activities to entertain the kids such as craft workshops and treasure trails with prizes. Many of the children took part in creative sock puppet workshops where they designed and made their own versions of the cute and colourful characters featured in Affinity Lancashire’s new advertising campaign.

Amanda Daniels, Affinity Lancashire Centre Manager, says…

“We are thrilled with the relaunch of Affinity Lancashire and love our contemporary new logo; it really identifies the scheme as an exciting and contemporary destination and we saw great feedback from visitors throughout the weekend. This is a great opportunity for us to work with the local community and strengthen those ties which is hugely important to our brand. We’re looking forward to more exciting developments so watch this space!”

The Affinity Outlets unites the formerly ‘Freeport Fleetwood’, ‘Freeport Talke’ and ‘Atlantic Village’ outlet centres under a single band. Global Mutual Limited, the international property investment and management company, acquired the three schemes in 2017.
